Deartourists,welcometovisittheShuidonggouancienthumanculturalsite.ShuidonggousiteislocatedinShuidonggouvillage,LinheTown,LingwuCity,Ningxia.Itis30kilometersawayfromLingwuCityinthesouth,19kilometersawayfromYinchuanCityinthewest,11kilometersawayfromHedongairport,andconnectedwithEjianbannerofInnerMongoliainthenorth,coveringanareaof7.8squarekilometers.ScientificresearchfoundthatShuidonggouareaistheholylandofhumanreproduction30000yearsago.In1923,FrenchpaleontologistsdeRijinandsangZhihuadiscoveredaprehistoricculturalsitehere.Throughexcavation,alargenumberofstonetoolsandanimalfossilswereunearthed.Therefore,ShuidonggoubecametheearliestPaleolithicculturalsiteinChina,knownas"thebirthplaceofChineseprehistoricarchaeology"and"thehistoricalwitnessofculturalexchangesbetweenChinaandthewest".In1988,itwaslistedasanationalkeyculturalrelicsprotectionunit,andin2015,itwasratedasAAAAAtouristattractionbytheNationalTourismAdministration.
Deartourists,Shuidonggousiterecordsthehistoricalwitnessofancienthumanreproductionandstrugglewithnature,andcontainsrichandpreciousprehistoricmaterials.ItistheonlyPaleolithicsiteofficiallyexcavatedintheYellowRiverareainChinasofar.Overthepast80years,throughsixarchaeologicalexcavations,morethan30000stonetoolsand67fossilanimalshavebeenunearthedinShuidonggou.Amongthem,somestoneproducts,toolsandstonemakingandrepairingtechniques,whichformthebasisofShuidonggouculture,canbecomparedwiththestonetoolsofmosteandorinaperiodsinEurope,WestAsiaandNorthAfrica.Inparticular,alargenumberoflewalowastonecoresunearthedareclosetotheshapeoforinaculture,whichisquiteancientinEurope.Forthisphenomenonofdistantdistanceandculturalsimilarity,foreignfamousarchaeologistsbelievethatitis"theassimilationeffectofhumanlong-distancemigration".TheculturerepresentedbyShuidonggousiteplaysanimportantroleinthestudyoftheoriginofregionalstonetechnologytradition,theexcavationandvariationofancientculture,andthemigration,diffusionandexchangeoflaterenewalhumanbeingsinNortheastAsia.ItisofgreatsignificancetothecomparativestudyofeasternandWesternculturesmorethan30000yearsago.
